Services
Worship at Woodridge is a truly special thing. We are a family-oriented church full of everyday people who’s lives have been changed by faith in Jesus Christ. Our worship is traditional but vibrant. We don’t need the lights and sounds of the nightclub to make our worship relevant. Joyful, reverent singing and faithful preaching from the good old King James Version of the Bible will never go out of style.
You can’t fake the love, joy and peace that Jesus gives, and we hope you’ll find it here.
Sunday School & Adult Bible Studies – 9:30 am
Sunday is the Lord’s Day, and we encourage you to start it out right! Bring your whole family for a practical time of Bible study. We have classes for all ages where God’s Word is taught in an engaging and practical way. We really can’t get enough of God’s Word. Make a weekly Sunday School the a tradition in your home!
Sunday Morning Worship – 10:45 am
Our worship is founded on the Word of God and focused on Jesus Christ. The Sunday morning service is truly the highlight of the week and we hope you’ll agree. Through our choir and congregational singing your heart will be stirred by the Christ-honoring hymns and spiritual songs. But the real focus is the preaching of God’s Word. Each week Pastor Barber preaches God’s Word faithfully and applies it to everyday life. This is where life-change happens–as we respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit through the preaching of His Word.
Sunday afternoon Worship – 1 pm
Sunday is “the Lord’s Day” and we urge you to make it so. Plan to stay for lunch and then join us at 1 pm for a time of hearty singing and practical preaching. This is a special time where our pastor can deal with some of the more practical issues of family life and personal growth. We need more preaching, not less!
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:25
Wed. Bible Study & Prayer – 7 pm
The midweek Bible study and prayer time is an essential time to gather with God’s people for the spiritual nourishment of the Bible and prayer. In many ways the midweek service provides a time of refreshment and healing–a place of shelter from life’s storm. We desperately need the encouragement of gathering with other Christians, singing the old hymns and hearing the unchanging Word of God preached with power. But we also need to pray.
We hope you’ll plan to stop in as a family for this important time and see what God will do in your life.

Our Purpose Is to Evangelize, Disciple, Teach, Train, & Provide Opportunities for Children to Serve God Now
- To Evangelize children by helping church leaders with the ideas, promotional tools, and effective ways of reaching children with the gospel.
- To Disciple children includes teaching leaders what significant discipleship is, how to implement it in a practical way, and providing tools to get it done.
- To Teach children God’s Holy Word, carefully, both in lesson, memory, and in life style. Projects will motivate children to “live out” the truth that is taught. Leaders must role model their teaching and preaching.
- To Train children how to serve the Lord, based upon their characteristics and their capabilities. The goal is to do now what the child is capable of doing, and to instill into them that the opportunities abound to serve the Lord in some ministry role as a lifetime pursuit.
- To Provide Opportunities in the church for children to serve the Lord in a very meaningful way. To teach and encourage local leaders to train their children to function in some ministry. To provide multiple opportunities for those who are willing to serve.
